Carlsbad Community Theatre is thrilled to announce auditions for Freaky Friday, a high-energy, heart-filled musical about a mother and daughter who magically swap bodies and are forced to see the world through each other’s eyes. Packed with humor, emotion, and a powerful message about empathy and family, this show is a favorite for performers and audiences alike.
We are looking for dedicated, passionate performers who are excited to take on a challenge, grow their skills, and be part of a supportive, high-quality production. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or ready to take your first big step on stage, this is your chance to be part of something special.

When: Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 5-9pm
What: Prepare 1 minute or less musical theatre song selection
**Bring recorded music able to connect to a bluetooth device
Dance Audition (all): Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 11am-12:30pm
Those called back for particular roles stay after the Dance Audition.
Callbacks: Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 12:30-3:30pm

A Summer Camp Adventure
Step into a world of pure imagination this summer with Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka KIDS! In this high-energy, two-week musical theatre camp (9:00am–3:00pm daily), students will bring Charlie Bucket’s magical journey to life — from the thrilling Golden Ticket search to the dazzling, rule-filled wonders of Wonka’s mysterious factory. Featuring the beloved songs from the classic 1971 film and exciting new numbers, this scrumdidilyumptious production offers unforgettable roles for performers of all experience levels — including plenty of opportunities to sing, dance, and shine as Oompa-Loompas! Through professional-level direction, choreography, and music instruction, campers will build confidence, creativity, and teamwork — culminating in a fully staged performance for family and friends.
